PEOPLE in western societies consume a lot and most of what we buy is packaged. Packaging gives us the advantage  of high hygienic standards, lower risk of infection and a healthier life.  The downside however is the one way flow of packaging into landfill. Houses, buildings, factories, infrastructure and offices - the built environments and our SPACES are responsible for around 40 per cent of all CO2 emissions in the UK.  Paul Scrivener, Design Director of Europe's leading workplace design practices, MCM Architecture and his team have developed a sustainability charter for their projects. Lotta Lundberg, who is a spiritual speaker and leadership coach asks us some important questions: Do we have the right view and feel responsible towards ourselves and the society? COMMUNITIES need to get involved to enable change and the development of low carbon economies. Cycling short distances rather than using the car can make a big difference in emissions, but also make city centres friendlier and more accessible.   Mads Kjøller Damkjær of Goodmorning Technology ApS, talks about the challenges of designing a bike sharing scheme for New York City.
